The GV60 Performance’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the EX90 are solid, not vented.
Chassis
The Genesis GV60 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1350 to 1750 pounds less than the Volvo EX90.
The GV60 is 1 foot, 7.4 inches shorter than the EX90, making the GV60 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Ergonomics
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) conducts detailed tests on headlights for their range both straight ahead and in curves and to be certain they don’t exceed acceptable amounts of glare to oncoming drivers. The GV60’s headlights were rated “Good” by the IIHS, while the EX90’s headlights are rated “Acceptable.”
The GV60’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The EX90’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.
The GV60 ADVANCED/PERFORMANCE has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the rear seat, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The EX90 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
The GV60 ADVANCED/PERFORMANCE’s Smart Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Smart Parking Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The EX90’s automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.
Model Availability
The GV60 is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The EX90 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the GV60 second among small premium suvs in owner reported satisfaction. This includes how well the vehicle performs and satisfies its owner’s expectations. The EX90 isn’t in the top three.
