Power ranks Genesis above average in initial quality. With 40 more problems per 100 vehicles, Lincoln is rated below average.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Genesis vehicles are more reliable than Lincoln With 51 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Genesis higher than Lincoln.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2024 Auto Issue reports that Genesis vehicles are more reliable than Lincoln vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Genesis 5 places higher in reliability than Lincoln.

Engine

The GV80 3.5T Coupe’s standard 3.5 turbo V6 produces 125 more horsepower (375 vs. 250) and 116 lbs.-ft. more torque (391 vs. 275) than the Nautilus’ standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder. The GV80 3.5T Coupe’s 3.5 turbo V6 produces 75 more horsepower (375 vs. 300) and 96 lbs.-ft. more torque (391 vs. 295) than the Nautilus’ optional 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid. The GV80 3.5 e-Supercharger’s standard 3.5 turbo/supercharged V6 hybrid produces 109 more horsepower (409 vs. 300) and 110 lbs.-ft. more torque (405 vs. 295) than the Nautilus’ optional 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid.

Fuel Economy and Range

The GV80 Coupe has a gallon more fuel capacity than the Nautilus Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (21.1 vs. 20.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the GV80 Coupe’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Nautilus:

GV80 Coupe

Nautilus

Front Rotors

14.9 inches

13.6 inches

Rear Rotors

14.2 inches

12.6 inches

The GV80 Coupe’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Nautilus are solid, not vented.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the GV80 Coupe has larger tires than the Nautilus (265/50R20 vs. 255/60R19).

The GV80 Coupe’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Nautilus’ standard 60 series tires. The GV80 Coupe’s optional tires have a lower 40 series profile than the Nautilus’ optional 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the GV80 Coupe has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Nautilus.

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the GV80 Coupe’s wheelbase is 2.1 inches longer than on the Nautilus (116.3 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the GV80 Coupe is .7 inches wider in the front and 1.2 inches wider in the rear than on the Nautilus.

For greater off-road capability the GV80 Coupe has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Nautilus (8.1 vs. 7.9 inches), allowing the GV80 Coupe to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Chassis

The front grille of the GV80 Coupe uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Nautilus doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Passenger Space

The GV80 Coupe has .6 inches more front headroom and 1.7 inches more front shoulder room than the Nautilus.

Cargo Capacity

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the GV80 Coupe. The Nautilus doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

Towing

The GV80 Coupe’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Nautilus’ (6000 vs. 0 pounds).

Servicing Ease

The engine in the GV80 Coupe is mounted longitudinally (North-South), instead of sideways, as in the Nautilus. This makes it easier to service and maintain, because the accessory belts are in front.

Ergonomics

The GV80 Coupe has a standard heads-up display that projects speed, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Nautilus doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The GV80 Coupe’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Nautilus has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

Standard air conditioned seats in the front and rear seats keep the GV80 Coupe’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Nautilus doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The GV80 Coupe’s Smart Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Smart Parking Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Nautilus’ automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.
