The GV80 Coupe’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The XC40 doesn’t offer an easy entry system.
The GV80 Coupe has a standard heads-up display that projects speed, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The XC40 doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
The GV80 Coupe’s standard Proximity Key allows you to unlock the doors from either front door handle, open the cargo door, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Keyless Drive standard on the XC40 only offers hands-free access for the ignition, none to unlock the vehicle.
To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the GV80 Coupe has standard extendable sun visors. The XC40 doesn’t offer extendable visors.
Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the GV80 Coupe to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The XC40 doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.
Standard air conditioned seats in the front and rear seats keep the GV80 Coupe’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The XC40 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
The GV80 Coupe has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the XC40.
The GV80 Coupe has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the XC40.
The GV80 Coupe has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The XC40 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
The GV80 Coupe’s Smart Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Smart Parking Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The XC40’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.
